Chocolate may provide heart health benefits, suggests new research published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition.
The study from Norwich Medical School, UK, combined results from 42 clinical trials, and found that people eating chocolate twice a week enjoyed 66% fewer serious heart issues as well as a small reduction in blood pressure.
An article published by Reuters, further explores the strength of evidence and includes commentary from experts including the director of the cardiovascular nutrition lab at Tufts University in Boston and Lee Hooper, the lead researcher from Norwich Medical School.
