Congratulations to Amanda Holmes, who qualified today as a Certified Hypnotension Practitioner
Amanda will be serving clients with high blood pressure (Hypertension) from her practice in Wimborne, UK
The Hypnotension™ Programme looks at a variety of lifestyle factors to establish which is likely to be causing or maintaining high blood pressure (Hypertension). These lifestyle factors are then targeted using specific cognitive and hypnotherapeutic techniques to help reduce the clients blood pressure towards more normal levels.
About Amanda
Amanda trained in Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (SFH) at the Clifton Practice in Bristol, and was awarded the nationally recognised Hypnotherapy Practitioner Diploma (a Level 4 FHEQ qualification) in 2007. She is a member of the National Council for Hypnotherapy (NCH), the Association for Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (AfSFH) and registered with the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC). Her practice is in Wimborne, Dorset, using a combination of SFH, CBT techniques, metaphors and direct suggestion to help clients achieve their goals.
She is also a highly trained scientist. Prior to devoting her time to hypnotherapy she worked as a microbiologist in the NHS and the food industry, and later as a Clinical Audit professional within the NHS. The focus of Clinical Audit is to ensure patients are treated using the most appropriate techniques (known as evidence based best practice). This is something I am keen to translate to my own practice and fits in perfectly with the Hypnotension approach.
